Tattoo Session Information

After choosing a time slot and getting booked in, we usually feel excited! To make sure session day will go smoothly, I always ask my clients to review this page. We will go over preparation before the session, what to expect the big day, and how to take care of your new tattoo!

All studios I use will be bright, and clean. I usually choose more modern studios with a calming environment as well, like an artistic spa.

These studios will also strictly adhere to local health regulations. I also look for studios that have both AC and Heating to ensure my clients are comfortable.

All equipment that touch fluid such as needles, ink cups, protective equipment on machines and gloves will be sterilized and one time used. All other equipment such as beds, arm rest and trays are lined and thoroughly sanitized with disinfectant after every procedure.

All this will ensure your tattoo will be one that heals and age well!

Session Day

Its Tattoo Day! You and I are both excited! Please do arrive on time or at most 5 mins before the session.

Once at the studio, we will go through the art work, to make sure everything is in order and there are no last min changes. Then we sanitizing the area, and fitting starts.

Tattoo Stencil

Fitting

I usually offer 3-4 different sizes at 1/2 or 1/4 inch increment around the original requested size. To me, its important that I give you all the options to ensure there is no doubt on the size once the tattoo is done.

Once we found the right size, and ensuring the area is fully sanitize and shaved, a stencil of either outline or with shading, depending on the art work, will be imprinted onto your skin.

This allows you to see how the tattoo will fit in the designated area, and you will be able to see how the tattoo turns with your body and skin.

During this process I will ask for your confirmation on size, and once the stencil is on, I will also ask for your confirmation on fitting. And for you to check off the fitting portion on the consent form.

The Procedure

Most clients will feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. As your artist, I will do my best to make sure you are comfortable during the entire process.

Since its a tattoo, there will be some discomfort. However, I am very light handed and its not uncommon for clients to fall asleep during my sessions.

During the procedure, I will explain the process to you as we go, if you wish for me to stop, please let me know.

Feel free to ask questions, I don’t mind chatting and working, it does not distract me. I’m quite use to it, and frankly I usually love getting to know my clients!

Most of my clients also find that chatting helps time go by quite a bit faster, and the session comes to an end less than the actual time, leaving them with a beautiful piece of art.
